Road to Wimbledon Success!

Having come runner up in the Northants County ‘Road to Wimbledon’ event in July Rory Coates was invited down to the All England Club, Wimbledon in August to take part in a coaching clinic alongside other U14 county runners up. The session took place on the grass courts at Aorangi Park which are used for qualifying and then as practice courts during the Championships. The session was run by the AELTC’s Head Coach, Dan Bloxham and he was assisted by Laura Robson who is an ex British ladies number 1 and won Junior Wimbledon at the age of 14. The coaching session was challenging but superb and the juniors were all made to feel very special playing on those amazing courts - quite an experience for all.
