Kevin Baker: Director

Kevin Baker is the Director at Portsmouth Tennis Academy. He has been at Portsmouth Tennis Academy for over 25 years, and several of our coaches and adult players learnt to play under Kevin’s instruction. Kevin holds professional teaching qualifications with the RPT, PTR and the LTA, and reached an ITF Seniors World Ranking of 74 in 2005.  Currently Kevin spends his time between the Gomez Tennis Academy in Naples, Florida where his son Blu is based, and back here at the Academy.

Claire Overton: Head Coach

Claire is one of our longest-standing coaches at Portsmouth Tennis Academy, having played here since she was 10 and coached here for the last 15 years. As well as coaching our Mini Tennis and Performance programmes, Claire leads our Little Smashers classes for pre-school children and the girls-only Miss Hits groups, and spends a lot of time coaching juniors and performance players one-to-one.
