JUNIOR COACHING and HOLIDAY CAMPS
Are lessons and court hire exclusive to the pupils and their families?
🎾 No - anyone can come! We offer termly or Pay As You Go sessions. All sessions need to be booked and paid for in advance.
How do I book a group or holiday camp for my child?
🎾 You can select the relevant activities via the ClubSpark menu which will take you to our external booking link, alternatively you can see our full programme at Book Now | Delgado Tennis.
Which group do I choose?
🎾 Children are divided into age groups however once the course has started the level of each child will be assessed and if necessary will be moved to a different ability group. Drop us a message if you're not sure which group to select.
Do you run a course or camps for toddlers?
🎾 Our groups and camps are open to children from 4yrs onwards. During camps children from 5yrs+ can join for a full day but 4 year olds can only book for 1/2 day (3 hours).
What to bring?
🎾 Children should bring a water bottle, their own racket, wear comfortable (layered) clothing and non-marking trainers when playing indoors. Please ensure all items are labelled; all lost property will be donated to a local charity at the end of term. Please don't bring any food or snacks containing nuts to the lessons. Please let us know should your child not have their own racket yet as they are welcome to borrow one from us for the first lesson.
Can I be on court with my child?
🎾 For safety reasons parents are not allowed to be on the courts during group lessons (unless your child in unsettled or when you're called in by the coach). Parents are of course welcome to stay and watch sessions should they wish.
Can I use Childcare Vouchers?
🎾 We do not accept Childcare Vouchers at this time.
Can I change my child's course once the term has started?
🎾 You can change your child to a different course day, depending on availability.
I need to change my child's camp booking?
🎾 To receive a full refund, please provide at least 7 days' notice via email to admin@delgadotennis.co.uk. We are happy to change your camp booking to a different day if your change falls within 7 days but we are not able to change your booking on the day.
ADULT COACHING
What should I wear ?
🎾 Most clients wear tennis clothes or gym/sports kit - basically comfortable clothes that you can run about in.
Do I need to be a Member?
🎾 No membership is required however a Silver and Gold Membership is available. Membership benefits include discount on courses and court bookings. Contact admin@delgadotennis.co.uk for more information.
OTHER
What shoes are needed ?
🎾 Clean non-marking tennis shoes. Trainers do not support the feet for tennis movement and so are not advised and can cause injuries. For young children non marking trainers are fine. To keep our courts clean, please change into clean, non marking tennis shoes on the court.
Can I borrow a racket ?
🎾 Yes we have rackets available in all sizes to borrow.
How do I book an Individual lesson ?
🎾 Available individuals can be found on the private lessons page.
How do I find Reed's Tennis School and where can I park ?
🎾 Indoor Courts - having entered the school gates, turn right at the mini roundabout and follow signs to the Indoor Tennis Courts, you can park under the trees and you will see the Indoor bubble.
🎾 Outside Courts & Astros - having entered the school gates, turn right at the mini roundabout and follow the road past the cricket pitch on your left. Turn left into the small car park and you will see the astros and outside courts.
Are the class programmes and coaches subject to change ?
🎾 Our Junior & Adult programmes are fixed for the term. We do need minimum numbers for a class to run, if a class is cancelled at the start of term due to low numbers we will suggest an alternative or refund you in full.
🎾 We know coach consistency is important to our clients and we are very successful with building a team of committed coaches. However if coaches are ill or on holiday other qualified coaches will cover the class depending on availability. Additionally, circumstances can change which may mean the coach team can change from time to time.
Cancellation of a Session
🎾 In the unlikely event that Delgado Tennis needs to cancel a session, the following will happen:
Clients will be credited or refunded for the missed session. To inform you of a cancelled session, you will be contacted by email using the contact details you have provided when you signed up for the class. Therefore it is very important that these details are correct and up to date.
Refunds
🎾 We do not refund for missed sessions.
ClubSpark Queries
🎾 When registering on ClubSpark, please register yourself and then add your child/children as players.
If you have any technical difficulties registering on ClubSpark, please email the ClubSpark Support Service at support@clubspark.co.uk. They are really helpful and will be able to guide you through registration.
