RWB Tennis Club Season Finale

In its 50th Anniversary year members of Royal Wootton Bassett Tennis Club enjoyed an evening of indoor sports for the season-ending social event.  Over 50 members attended, the highest number for many years.   A raffle with fantastic prizes donated by sponsors and local businesses generated a surplus and £150 was donated to Prospect Hospice in Wroughton.

At the heart of the evening was a series of four indoor sports – pétanque, darts, putting and bean-bag throwing.  Teams competed for the winning spot, all in the name of fun!  High quality buffet food supplied by Foxtrot Food Company was available throughout, and if that was not enough, a racing car driving simulator allowed many members to imagine for a few minutes they were Lewis Hamilton – although as much time seemed to be spent on the grass than on the track!

The social event is also an occasion to celebrate successes of our Club teams in the Swindon and District Tennis Leagues, and to thank team captains and players for their support and competitive enthusiasm.

RBW TC is very grateful to the support from main sponsor Wiltshire Surveyors and other local businesses who contributed raffle prizes:  club coaches Ali, Shaun and Chris; Crosby and Lawrence; Butchers Mate; Brinkworth Dairy Products and Sustain Farm Shop.
