In keeping with the theme of the Platinum Jubilee earlier this month members of Royal Wootton Bassett Tennis Club held a 'Monarch of the Courts' fun competition. Twenty four players played six sessions, each time with a different partner, under sunny skies. After over two hours of play Lyn and Becky came out top - congratulations to our 'Monarchs of the Courts'.
After a difficult last two years social tennis is back with a bang at the Club. We have a number of events planned through the rest of the year, organised by our new group of members taking on the task of making events happen. The social event today was an excellent example of players of all abilities getting on court and enjoying tennis and meeting other members.
The Club successfully manages a mix of competitive and social tennis, providing members with a variety of opportunities. A pleasing outcome from today's social event was seeing some players from our top teams mixing it up with less experienced players - giving a level of challenge that encourages that little bit of extra effort!
