Coaching
Taking tennis lessons allows you to meet new people, further develop your game or start from scratch if you are brand new to the sport. Tennis lessons are available for non-members for £42 per hour and discounted for members for £37 per hour from our qualified LTA coaches. As our hard-working coaches are often busy on court an email or text is usually better than calling them.
Our junior squads for the Spring 2024 term are nearing their end but are stillavailable to book for the last few weeks until the Easter break. You can get an idea of what is on offer for all age groups if you click here

Giampiero Bitarelli
Giampiero (or GP for short) has just joined the team but has been playing at Spencer since he was a young boy. He is also a performance coach and 1st team player who takes adult lessons of all abilities as well as team tennis coaching sessions and performance junior squads. He will be setting up and running a series of adult mid-week group sessions so get in touch directly if you're interested in joining one of these.

Joe is a high level team player who mainly takes junior after-school squads as well as the fun junior social at 4.30pm on Fridays. He is also available for daytime adult lessons and juniors of all abilities.

Junior squads
At Spencer we offer a wide range of junior squads after school for those aged from 4 – 17 years old. The sessions cater for all standards with some squads focusing on introducing new players to the game and others, such as team training sessions, for those that are looking to play more competitively. With sessions focusing on all aspects of tennis, Spencer is a great place for juniors to have fun whilst developing their tennis skills. You can book on, check availability or find pricing information for squads by scrolling to the bottom of this page. Squads run alongside the school term time and are booked in advance.
Junior socials
We run junior socials every Friday during term time, with mini tennis from 1630 - 1800 and from 1800 - 1930 for children over 11. You do not need to be a member to join these sessions. Just turn up and pay cash on the day. It's £5 for members and £10 for non-members.
Junior holiday programme
We run junior tennis programmes for 5 - 16 years during the school holidays. These are run every half-term and at the end-of-term school holidays and from July to the end of August during the summer. Our coaches make these sessions fun and enjoyable and children can improve their tennis and develop life-long skills that will give them confidence in whatever they do. Our school holiday tennis programmes are extremely popular. You should give your children drinks and snacks for the day or they can buy drinks at the Clubhouse. If the weather is dubious, the coaches will make a decision by 9.15 am and you can text the Head Coach, Dave Watts on 07812130015 for confirmation or ring the Clubhouse to check on 020 8874 2717.
Booking online
You can book all our courses online but first you, as an adult,have to register with the LTA as a parent. It's free to do this and only takes a few minutes. Then, just choose the date, then choose the price according to whether you want to book single day (or days) or the whole week. If you child is a member of Spencer Tennis Club then choose the discounted price.
