Club Open Day 2024

Stamford Tennis Club's open day on Sunday 13th October proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable occasion for all those members and guests that took part during this packed on-court programme. The morning's schedule opened with ten budding juniors in mini tennis, then tennis teens testing their skills, followed by coaching for adult beginners.

The team clinic followed in the early afternoon with tips shared for doubles players at the net. A main take-home for the editor being - don't look behind you!  Keep your eyes on the opponent.

Former professional Danny Sapsford from Bright Ideas for Tennis and his colleague Luke Milligan guided participants confidently through the day's agenda, which included a fastest-serve competition and finally a three-game and tie-break contest between Danny and coach Felix versus our impressive junior William and Luke (pictured below). It was very close!
