IN GENERAL:  For all league events the winning team will be awarded 2 league points. There is also a bonus point for fielding a full team, so the winning team can potentially get 3 points, a drawn match is 2 points each and the losing team can still get 1 point for playing with a full team.  If either team concedes a match or fields an incomplete team they will forfeit this bonus point.

ALL MATCHES:  Start Times: The default starting time unless otherwise agreed between captains will be 6pm arrival for a 6.15pm start on weekdays and 1pm arrival for a 1.15pm start at weekends.

Latecomers: Any couple not able to start by 15 minutes after these start times (ie. 6.30pm, 1.30pm) will begin play as normal but will concede any remaining sets as soon as the other matches in Round One have finished. For example, if the late couple were leading 6-3, 4-1 when the other rubbers finished then the result would be 6-3, 4-6,  or where a 3rd set champs tb is normally played it would be 6-3, 4-6, 0-1. This ensures the overall match is not held up, whilst still giving the late couple a chance to compete.

Sudden Death Deuce: This is now only played as a rule in the Div One Mixed Knockout event. However, it can also still be agreed between Captains in any match where lack of light, weather etc may be a factor and where it could help a match be completed in time. 

Unfinished Matches: Completed sets will count as 1 set towards the score. Completed games in an incomplete set will only count towards final league placings.

WINTER LEAGUE DIV 1+2 - Sundays 1pm

Teams of 4 players – 2 men, 2 ladies.

Format: 1 Ladies doubles, 1 Mens doubles & 2 Mixed doubles.

Scoring: Rubbers consist of 2 normal sets with a 10pt champs tie-break if 1 set all.  Rubbers are consequently scored 2-0 or 2-1.

LADIES + MENS DIV 1 - Tuesdays/Wednesdays 6pm

Teams consist of 3 couples.

Format: Two Rounds of matches, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 followed by 2v1, 3v2, 1v3.    No 3rd Round.

Scoring: Rubbers consist of 2 sets and a 10pt champs tie-breaker if required. Rubbers are consequently scored 2-0 or 2-1.

LADIES + MENS DIV 2+3 - Tuesdays/Wednesdays 6pm

Teams consist of 2 couples.

Format: Two Rounds of matches, 1v1, 2v2, 1v2, 2v1.

Scoring: Rubbers consist of 2 sets and a 10pt champs tie-breaker if required. Rubbers are consequently scored 2-0 or 2-1.

MIXED LEAGUE DIV 1 - Tuesdays 6pm

Teams consist of 3 mixed couples.

Format: Two Rounds of matches decided by making an ABC draw after entering the teams in the score sheet. No 3rd Round is played. (See score-sheet for ABC order of play)

Scoring: Rubbers consist of 2 sets and a 10pt champs tie-breaker if required. Rubbers are consequently scored 2-0 or 2-1.

MIXED LEAGUE DIV 2 - Tuesdays 6pm

Teams consist of 2 mixed couples.

Format: Two Rounds of matches, 1v1, 2v2, 1v2, 2v1.

Scoring: Rubbers consist of 2 sets and a 10pt champs tie-breaker if required. Rubbers are consequently scored 2-0 or 2-1.

MIXED KNOCK-OUT CUP - DIV 1 - Sundays 1pm

Following immediately on from the Mixed League Div 1 completion, the top 4 teams will play semis 1v4 and 2v3 and then a final.

Teams consist of 3 Men and 3 Ladies.

Format: Three rounds of matches with one Mixed, one Ladies, one Mens match, per round. The Mixed playing order to be determined by an ABC draw.

Scoring: Rubbers consist of 2 sets with no Champs Tiebreaker. In the event of a tie at the end of the match, a games countback will decide the winner. If still tied, the 1st Mixed Couples will play each other in a 10pt Champs TB.

NOTE: As this is our longest match format it is played on a Sunday and Sudden Death Deuce will be played throughout.

MIXED KNOCK-OUT CUP - DIV 2 - Tuesdays 6pm

Following immediately on from the Mixed League Div 2 completion, the top 4 teams will play semis 1v4 and 2v3 and then a final.

Teams of 4 players – 2 men, 2 ladies.

Format: 1 Ladies doubles, 1 Mens doubles & 2 Mixed doubles.

Scoring: Rubbers consist of 2 normal sets with a third set 10pt match tie-break if 1 set all.  Rubbers are consequently scored 2-0 or 2-1. In the event of a tie at the end of the match, a games countback will decide the winner (Champs TBs count as one set but only count as one game in a total games countback). If still tied, the 1st Mixed Couples will play each other in a 10pt champs tiebreaker.

OVER 40s MIXED DOUBLES - Sundays 1pm

Teams consist of 2 couples. Each player must be at least 40 years of age by December 31st of the year the match is played.

Format: Two Rounds of matches, 1v1, 2v2, 1v2, 2v1.

Scoring: Rubbers consist of 2 sets and a 10pt champs tie-breaker if required. Rubbers are consequently scored 2-0 or 2-1.
