Parent Conduct

Here follows some rules for parents, which we hope don’t put you off! These are lovely local events where we haven’t had any issues, but we are sharing these for every tournament we run in to share good practice around Wales and help contribute towards a fair and friendly tournament scene.

  • Parents should not get involved with calling lines or scores.
  • Parents are not allowed on-court and shouldn’t stand right up against the fence as it can intimidate opponents.
  • Verbal coaching is not allowed within LTA rules (and rarely helps). It is the child who receives a warning if they are deemed to be receiving coaching.
  • Please clap for both players and ask the Referee if you need any help (e.g. ensuring your child has water, sunscreen etc) or have any concerns about your child’s match.
