Equipment - it matters!
Using the right equipment is essential to your progress, no dud balls here! All equipment is provided within coaching sessions (including rackets for those who need one) but for when you're looking to get your own gear, we have some partners who can help.
Getting it right, or not...
One of our pet peeves is seeing newer players using the wrong equipment, this is usually specific to BALLS. Yellow balls are not suitable for playing with your Under-10 child, or indeed for many teen and adult starter players. Please ask us for guidance on the type of balls to use with your child.
When it comes to rackets, there are many options including length, weight, head size, grip size, balance and more. Your racket choice should be geared towards your size and your game style so please do ask if you need any advice.

Racket Restringing
Broken a string thanks to all that spin we taught you? Or you may just need a refresh (strings lose their tension and responsiveness over time). YC offer an in-house stringing service as do our partner clubs through a resident coach or club member. As with racket choices, again we advise seeking guidance on string type and tension to suit your game.
