We are delighted to announce that Walton Tennis Club has fought off some really stiff competition to be awarded the LTA Staffordshire Club of the Year award. This recognises that the club is in a good position in terms of facilities, financial stability, governance, membership and sociability. The award is a credit to all members and the committee, past and present, for developing an active sociable and thriving Club. We should all be very proud of this achievement and our club. We hope that you will share in a celebration at a future social event to be announced.
We should all thank Steve Harris for this. It was his idea to apply, and he worked on the application, so well done Steve!

Just a reminder to members that anybody is welcome at Walking Tennis, on Monday’s @2pm.
Many of us in the group are back playing tennis and have found Walking Tennis to be incredibly helpful to bridge the gap between playing the full game perhaps due to injury, mobility issues, fitness levels etc. However, we are still benefiting from our Walking Tennis sessions for many reasons.
Walking tennis offers a wide range of physical, mental, and social benefits.
