System Error Regarding Email Notifications on 18th April 2024

We have received a notification from our systems provider, ClubSpark, of an incident resulting in the unintended sending of emails in error. This happened at approximately 4pm on 18th April.

Due to this technical fault, some users received emails incorrectly indicating payment transactions and mandate initiations. These are for members that have previously canceled their GoCardless memberships. We want to assure you that no payments have been taken, nor will any be processed as a result of this error. It was only the email initiated. Additionally, no mandate has been initiated.

ClubSpark offer their sincerest apologies for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. They understand the importance of accurate communication and take full responsibility for this oversight.

Their technical team are continuing to investigate the issue, implementing measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.

TENNIS LEAGUE 2024 SEASON UPDATE

The new season is nearly here, so we have an update on what’s happening this year.

We have entered an extra ladies team in the Staffordshire league and a mixed team in the Burton league. With 7 teams in total there’s plenty of opportunities to play competitive tennis. If you’re interested in playing and not already on our radar please let Rob Challinor know and he'll put you in touch with the relevant team captain.

Match fees are £3 each per match.

Mens and ladies nights will revert back to Tuesdays and Wednesdays respectively from 2nd and 3rd April.

STAFFS TENNIS LEAGUE UPDATES

An update on preparations for the new season in the Staffordshire Tennis League.

Unfortunately Zoe has had to step down as ladies B team captain for this season. Kirsty Marshall will be taking on the role effective immediately.

We have entered a ladies C team this year which will be captained by Diana Montague.

Good luck to both in their new roles.

Team practice for all teams remains on a Tuesday evening from 18:00. We will revert to Tuesdays for men and Wednesdays for ladies in March. The exact date will be confirmed nearer the time.
