Over the next couple of weeks, Abercorn is doing a stock collection for Edinburgh NE Foodbank based in Leith. Please look out for the box in the entrance hall of the club house and just pop your donations in there!

All donations of ambient, non-perishable items are welcome. At the moment, the food bank is particularly short-stocked of the following things:

• Tinned foods (fruit, veg, tomatoes, meat, soup, and custard/rice pudding)
• Pasta sauces
• Cereal
• Toilet paper, toothpaste, and soap/shower gel

Edinburgh NE Foodbank is run by a couple of part-time staff members and a team of amazing volunteers. In 2023/24, the food bank gave out over 6,000 food parcels... and almost a third of those were for children. To keep pace with the increased level of need, food banks are having to buy lots of food. Anything you can donate will help keep the shelves stocked and the doors open.
