Abercorn AGM 2025

📣

AGM Papers Now Available

Our AGM papers are now available on our website! Please take some time to read through the Annual Report, which reflects both our achievements and the challenges we’ve faced over the past year.

This year’s papers also include a fee proposal. At present, this reflects a standard 3% increase along with some category changes. However, the Committee would like to invite discussion around how we fund the major capital projects on the horizon - such as replacing the heating system and resurfacing the tennis courts - and whether a portion of these costs should be recovered through membership fees.

If you have experience researching or applying for capital grants, or if you’d be interested in joining a project group, we’d love to hear from you. Your ideas and expertise are invaluable.

Why You Should Come to the AGM

We know the phrase “Annual General Meeting” can be off-putting - but we promise to keep the formalities brief! We'll quickly cover essential business such as approving the Annual Report and electing your Committee for the coming year.

The rest of the evening is dedicated to celebrating our fantastic Club community and discussing our future direction. Your input genuinely shapes how we move forward.  We'll have brief presentations on the following:

  • President's highlights of the year
  • Tennis activities
  • Squash activities
  • Safeguarding, welfare and junior representation
  • Club structure - moving to a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO)

We’ll also be marking the retirement of two long-standing Committee members, Tam Waugh and Dave King, and raising a glass in thanks for their many years of service.

The bar will be open, and all members are encouraged to join the conversation on any matters important to you.
