Social Mix-In
Tennis social mix-ins are scheduled, informal club sessions designed for players to rotate partners and play friendly, often mixed-doubles matches. A reasonably consistent serve and some rallying skills are needed.
These adult social tennis sessions are held on Tuesdays from 6.00pm to 8.00pm and on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 10.00am to 12.00pm.
The guidelines for social mix-in sessions are as follows:
- games should be played with single deuces.
- a tiebreak to seven points should be played at 5-5.
- when a match comes to an end players should ensure that people on other courts are aware the match has ended and the group is ready to mix-in.
- if there are more players than court space available, those who have been sitting out will have priority. Remaining players should spin rackets to make up the four(s).
- if members book courts prior to the start of mix-in, their match must finish on time. However you can finish your game if it's very close to the end.
- if players arrive early they should wait until the official start time to agree a four.
- VERY IMPORTANT: these sessions are about social mixing and all players should be prepared to make up a four with any other player.
- everyone should be made to feel welcome and comfortable.
