Barley Tennis Club

Barley Tennis Club has 2 hard courts situated in one of the most beautiful settings in North Hertfordshire. Our club welcomes over 300  players from the surrounding villages of Barkway, Nuthamsptead, Newsells, Great Chishall, Chrishall, Anstey, Heydon, Therfield, Royston, Buntingford and beyond. Our aim is to provide affordable tennis in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and to bring the best out in our players through club sessions and coaching.

Clubs Sessions are held twice a week (Thursday evenings in the spring/summer from 5.30pm and Sunday mornings from 10.30am until 12.30pm). Find out how to participate.

Tennis coaching lessons for Adults and Juniors of all ages.

Chrissie Fothergill our  LTA Level 3 Licensed  club coach  (with over 20 years of coaching experience) can be contacted on mobile 07720214721 or email chrissiefothergill@hotmail.co.uk . Some group coaching sessions can be booked online.  See here for more details and to sign-up online. Beginners, improvers and non-members are all welcome.

Coaching  cancellations within 24 hours of the  booked time will need to be paid for in full ( with the exception of lessons cancelled due to poor weather).

Steve Smith joined our  Coaching team last year and can be contacted for coaching on 07790 561817 or stevesmith865@hotmail.com  Steve is also an experienced LTA Level 3 Licensed Coach. He is  a Dunlop representative and can help & advise  on the purchase of  new rackets. Steve's hourly rate is £40 per hour.
