The first Saturday of April can mean only one thing - time for the Barnton Park Spring Fling Tournament!

The sun was shining and 7 couples, 7 women and 7 men, played some superb tennis on the hallowed turf of BPLTC. If this tournament did one thing it proved that tennis really is a sport for life with the ages of the players ranging from 16 (well done Will!) to 90 (well done Syl, and happy 90th)!

After 4 rounds of mixed doubles with various partners, the top two ladies and top two main paired off to play in a show piece final which turned out to be a very entertaining affair on court 1!

A big thanks to all those who got involved, (great to see such a good turn out so early on in the season) and well done to our runners up Linda Gordon and Chris Logan and our eventual winners Paula Moncrieff and Stuart Brown.

A huge thanks also to our tournament organisers Elaine and John, to social secretary Louise, and of course to all our homebakers - the food was delicious!!!
