As happens on a regular basis, the club faciilties were improved in many ways by ordinary club members and their families.
There was a really good turn-out, and the weather treated us well.

Here are thankyou words from MichaelM who set up the schedule and guided the proceedings:

Huge thank you to everyone who came and helped at the maintenance day! We got a lot done, including:

• fixing the top netting along the back of the courts
• reducing the height of the dirt behind the club that was causing damp
• fixed the lock in the mens bathroom
• removed the weeds and brambles that were growing between the netting at the back and the wall behind *
• a lot more gardening!

*Kindly made possible by David Latimer removing the gate in the corner that was stuck

A special thankyou, also, to those who braved being on top of the scaffolding  (LaurenceW et al.)!

Also, many thanks to LyndseyG, who brought along the newly arrived centenary sports tops.

We booked in a specialist company for a "REJUVENATION process".

The courts were blocked off until late afternoon, but a few members were already playing on them by 4 p.m.
JoeO and CharlesP said that the courts were playing much better (even in the rain!)!
(This was our Valentine treat to the courts!)
