Young Person's Welfare Ambassador (YPWA)

The LTA are now keen for every Club to have a Young Person's Welfare Ambassador, which is a new role for young people aged 11-24 years old, to promote safeguarding for young people within their venue. Do you want to gain valuable new skills, level up your CV, UCAS statement and DofE award, all whilst supporting your tennis club to promote young people's voices and make tennis safe and enjoyable? If yes, sign up today to become a Young Persons Welfare Ambassador (YPWA).

  • You have up to 12 months to complete the programme - it is designed to fit around you.
  • You will complete 3 online bitesize training modules that take around 20 minutes each.
  • Once you have uploaded your certificates, you will then receive info about the tasks available to complete throughout the programme.
  • There are 6 themes, each with a choice of 3 tasks. You must choose 1 from each theme. These tasks have been chosen with the aim of accommodating differing learning styles, different time availability and the type of venue involved in the programme.
  • Throughout the 12 months (or shorter if you choose), upload evidence of the great work you have been doing.
