AGM Summary

We've had our AGM and the festive season is before us! Below a quick overview of the main outcomes of the AGM and holiday relevant info.

• Discussion on court availability concluded it was generally fine. The main pinch point was Wednesday evenings. The AGM agreed on a request to all members: from January 2025 please only book the 6-8pm or 8-10 pm slots on Wednesday evenings. That way we can fit 2 matches per court on those evenings.
• Financial, fixtures, coaching and chair's reports all demonstrated the club is doing well!
• Membership fees increase for 2025/26 will be 2.3%, the default approach of increasing in line with CPI inflation.
• Committee - welcoming two new committee members: Robert Nagy and Graeme Marsden, whilst thanking and saying goodbye to Mike Murch and Andy Moon.   Andy Russell, Charlie Ryan, Jane Cook, Jason Hunt, Jon Amery, Lyndsey Goulston and Sandra remain in post.

No coaching over Xmas holiday

The last adult coaching session of the year will be on Thursday evening 19th December, resuming Monday 6th January. As usual, the Monday and Thursday evening court bookings will remain in place for informal team practice on Mondays and an additional mix-in on Thursday evenings.

Social mix-in on Sunday 29th

To combine daylight and some fun exercise in between the festivities, all welcome at our daytime social mix-in from 2-4pm on Sunday 29th December.

Mens Open Singles

Ladies Open Doubles
Martina Kozuh & Elena Snidal beat Lyndsey Goulston & Claire Webster: 6-0, 6-2

Aidan Faria & Martina Kozuh beat Sam Watson & Elena Snidal: 6-1, 6-1

Mixed Handicap Doubles
Alex Tamburrini & Martin Lightbown beat Joe O'Flaherty & Petr Behal: 7-6, 4-6, 6-2

Mens Singles Plate
Chris Stephenson beat Jason Hunt: 6-4, 4-6, 6-4
