It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Brian Burke who died last Thursday evening. 

To say Brian was a stalwart of the tennis club would be a gross understatement as his involvement with every aspect of the club for many years has been huge.

His work on the committee has lasted many years and his role maintaining the clubhouse, the courts and grounds has been clear for all to see. A large part of his life was dedicated to running of the club for the benefit of its members. 

Brian played for many of the men's and mixed teams and always took part in the club competitions. Socially, he was a key part of all activities and was a regular on Sunday afternoons.

Everyone will remember Brian's dedication to the annual Christmas show, he always took a great part and loved the chance to sing a solo.

Brian always had a smile on his face and was a true gentlemen. He leaves a massive void for the BTC family and our thoughts and prayers are with Marcia, Emily and Lewis during this difficult time.
