Hello Members,
Welcome to this page dedicated to the 2024 BLTC championships!
Firstly, a few of you expressed concern with some wording I used in an email about the matches being "drawn at complete random". This wasn't entirely accurate, so forgive me for any concern this caused.
The process started with myself and Elizabeth doing a random draw for matches, but I then received further help from another committee member to bring an element of seeding into mapping out the rounds to ensure there would be a balance and good matches come Final's Day. So, there's a mixture of random and seeding!
This was a very difficult and time-consuming task, so I appreciate in advance everyone's understanding that "it won't be perfect".
As per previous years, please arrange your own matches and try to play them by the date guidelines provided in the clubhouse. All tournament matches are best of 3 sets (no third set tiebreaker) with 7-point tie breaks played at 6-6.
Many will remember there was a "BLTC TOURNAMENT MATCHES" WhatsApp group chat last year, which was used by participants to communicate when matches would be played so other member's could come down to watch. The same group still exists and will be used again this year, then the match information will be posted below. If you are participating in a tournament but are not in the group, please join it via this link

Rick & Louise vs Grace & Jake. Mixed doubles. Friday 7th June at 5:30pm.
Robin & Josh vs Aaron & Greg. Men's doubles. June 10th at 6.30pm.
Greg vs Leighton. Men's Singles. Wednesday, June 12th at 11am.
Final's Day Information
Final's Day is due to take place on Saturday 20th July 2024. More information about the day will be added here in due course.
