David Gray Head - Coach

We are thrilled to announce that David Gray will be joining us as our new Head Tennis Coach, starting September 1, 2024! David's wealth of experience and passion for the sport make him an invaluable addition to our team.

While we eagerly await David's official start date, he has graciously agreed to cover the Junior Coaching slot on Saturdays from 9 am to 10 am. Additionally, we are grateful to have the support of John, Matt, Laura, Evan, Anton, Geoff and Gary, who will assist David in covering the 10 am to 1 pm slots . David will be unable to cover these slots himself due to his commitments at Chipperfield & Leverstock Green Tennis Clubs until the end of July. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition period.

David started to play tennis at 16 years old and represented Hampshire in the county cup. By 18yrs he had started coaching.  David is now a LTA level 3 coach and a GPTCA level C coach with 30 years’ experience. David has coached and / or been a hitting partner for National Teams and individuals here in the UK, Malaysia, India, Ukraine, and Czech Republic. While in India David coached his player to her first WTA event.

John Bain  -  Coach

John is an LTA Level 2 Coach who has been a member of Bovingdon Tennis Club for over 30 years, and has been volunteering as a coach at the club for 20 years.  John has worked principally in the Saturday morning junior sessions, and more recently in the club's involvement with HACRO."
