Week 3 Challenge https://youtu.be/mCx9as1kTfw

Hi everyone, something a bit different this week for the children to get involved in. Allergy awareness is a big part of the foundation; so we are having a allergen baking week. Can be gluten; diary; nut or egg free - challenge to make something complete without any of those.

Send in your pictures and videos or post on social media. We have had some lovely people design an allergy reciepe/baking book which they have donated to the foundation; we wish to include some of your reciepes in this which will be send out to on sale as a book soon. Enjoy baking!

Since the Sadie Bristow Foundation began, we have been encouraging children from primary schools to get active through our schools’ programme at the schools themselves and Bridge Tennis Club. The activities involve physical exercise, athletics and tennis. The hundreds of children would not have engaged in these activities if it wasn't for the Foundation - just one of our many great achievements!

Children receiving the programme are from Chartham Primary and Bridge & Patrixbourne Primary schools and the sessions provide up to 15 hours per week in each school. However, we have also done taster sessions at St Stephen’s in Canterbury, Loose Primary in Maidstone and St Peter's Primary in Canterbury. Furthermore, we have helped with competition days in many schools around Kent, such as Deal Parochial School and Herne Bay.

So far the Foundation has supported over 500 children, mostly 4 – 10 year olds - a fantastic achievement, especially considering that this has all happened in a relatively short period of time.

Along with the Schools’ Programme, we have been to several tennis clubs across the South to promote the Foundation and allergy awareness – our other main aim.

We recommend everyone to have a look at The Sadie Bristow Foundation Website which has lots of information on it, such as allergy awareness and allergy education.  The link is: www.sadiebristowfoundation.org.uk
