Tournament Information

It's approaching that time of the year when the club is preparing for the annual Club Championships!  Club Championship events are only open to Brucehaven Tennis Club members.  In the Mixed Doubles event, partners are drawn but in all other doubles event partners can be chosen beforehand.

It's a condition of entry to all events, should you reach the finals:

• For 8U, 9U and 10U, players must be available on finals day, Saturday 21st September.
• For all other events, players must be available on finals day either Saturday 28th or Sunday 29th September.

For 8U, 9U and 10U, entries must be submitted by Saturday 7th September.

• LTA Advantage number

For all other events, the deadline for entry has now passed.

Championship Draw

The draw for the championship has now been made and can be accessed at the following link on the LTA Competitions website - BTC Championship Draw.

The link identifies the players drawn for each round per compeition. It is up to the players to make contact with their opponents and arrange the games at a suitable time. To help with this a contacts list will be sent out to each participating member.

ARRANGING MATCHES

Players should contact their partners/opponents to arrange suitable times to play ties. Court times should be booked using the ClubSpark booking system.
Please make every effort to play your matches by the deadline for each round – 1 st round by 11 th August, quarter-final by 1 st September, semi-final by 15 th September. If you find this impossible for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible. Matches not played by these dates may be scheduled by the Tournament Committee.
If you find that you’re unavailable for Finals Weekend (Saturday 28 th – Sunday 29 th September), please contact us before you play another match.

SCORING

The scoring format for all Adult and Junior (12U-18U) events will be the best of two tiebreak sets, with a set tiebreak (to 7 points) at 6 games all, and a deciding match tiebreak (to 10 points) at one set all. Tiebreaks must be won by 2 clear points. The scoring format for the 10U event will be one FAST4 set (first to 4 games). At 3 games all, a set tiebreak is played, first to 7 points (2 points clear).

All games will have ‘no-advantage scoring’, i.e. the point after deuce decides the winner of that game and the Receiver decides which side the Server can serve from. The scoring format for the 8U and 9U events will be one match tiebreak to 10 points (2 points
clear).

To help the tournament run smoothly, players have to be able to contact their opponents and arrange matches. We’ll do this by sharing contact information - mobile number and/or email address. Consents to share information have been carried forward from last year. If your details aren’t shown, please let us know the contact information you would like to share.

MATCH RESULTS

Please email your match result to us as soon as possible after the match is completed. We'll update the draws regularly with match results. You'll be able to follow progress at THIS LINK.
