Church Broughton Tennis Club

The Tennis Club will be open from Wednesday 3rd June for singles, managed doubles with four players from different households and limited coaching (up to four players plus coach).

Courts must be booked using our online booking system.

Church Broughton L.T.C is a long established L.T.A accredited Club with over 170 members. Our facilities at Bent Lane consist of 3 floodlit macadam courts and a macadam multi-sports court with hitting wall.

Come and join us! The Club welcomes new members of all ages from experienced players to complete beginners and rusty returners.

For experienced players and returners, we have teams which compete in both the Derby and Burton Leagues in both the Winter and Summer leagues.

In "normal" times before coroanvirus, we organise many social sessions, events and competitions purely for fun, so that even beginners can join in. There is a comprehensive coaching programme for juniors and adults.

• Wednesday evening, Thursday evening and Saturday morning junior coaching - see The Coaching Page for details.
• Thursday morning adult coaching / social tennis - 9.00-11.00 am - £8 members, £9 non-members - with Jane Rushby
• Social doubles sessions on Sunday morning (10.30am-12.30pm) - just come along and join in for fun mixed tennis playing with a variety of partners  (Sundays free to members -  £4 non-members)
• Friday Fun Nights - Very popular monthly events - with a barbecue, snacks and drinks and plenty of fun tennis. FREE to members, £3/£2 for adult/junior non-members. Dates for 2019 are 5th April, 3rd May, 7th June and 5th July, plus a date to be arranged in September.
• "Mid-week" sessions - During the summer weeks, the courts are often kept free from matches. We'll be running various internal tournaments, exercise sessions and doubles challenges or just "turn up an play" club sessions. - see our Events Page for more details
• Sunday evening adult & teens fun coaching (6.30 - 8.00 pm) - £5 members, £7 non-members - with Becky Williams  and Lottie Allin
• Tuesday evening floodlit social session during the winter months - 6.30 - 8.00pm - £1 each to cover lighting - members only.

Non-members, please come along to one of these sessions to find out more and give tennis a try.

Visitors can also use the Pay and Play system operated by the club. Check the booking section of the website to see if courts are not being used and use the online payments system to book and pay for the courts. The courts are not locked, so this is an honesty system. If it is dark, light tokens are also available from the Golf Club (NOT available at present while we have coronavirus restrictions). Fees are as follows:-

Visitor Pay and Play £5 per court per half hour

Light tokens are £1.50 (this provides 30 mins light on one court)
