Good afternoon
We have some very exciting news! We opened our indoor courts today with reduced hours. Courts will be bookable from 10am – 1pm and 4.30pm – 8pm Monday – Friday. For this first weekend 1/2nd August we will be open from 10.00am – 6.00pm. Weekend hours after that will vary so please make sure you contact us before coming. The outdoor courts will continue to operate as they have been so far, you can book via Clubspark or call Reception. This may change at a later date.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all back but want to make sure you all feel comfortable. We have therefore put measures in place to make sure you and our team are as safe as possible. Please read all the measures below.
One very important measure, as with all public indoor areas, is that we are asking everyone to please make sure you are wearing a mask or face covering, as you will be refused entry without one – this is obviously not a personal issue against any individual, but a direct measure to ensure the safety of everyone. Once you are in the dome you are then able to remove your mask to play but must put it on again to exit via the normal route, through the reception area.
When you first arrive at the centre you will see we have put in place a one-way system. There are arrows on the path leading up to the front door, clearly showing which side (the left) to come in and which side to exit. The arrows are at a socially distancing space so if you need to queue please use the arrows as a guide of where to stand. Once in the centre the one-way system continues with arrows on the floor and a large social distancing sign listing all measures while in the main reception area. As you come in you will turn left and come past the main desk, you will notice a new screen around the reception desk where you will need to check in. If you are a member, please make sure you have your membership card ready for scanning. Your membership card is even more important now than it was previously, as it will assist with track & trace
Once you have checked in, and paid any money (preferably by card or contactless to avoid the exchanging of cash), you will be directed to the court you are to play on. You will be able to book courts on the half hour and hour. To begin with courts can be booked hourly only, no half hour bookings, for example, from 10-11 or 10-12 but not from 10 –11.30. We will monitor this process regularly and as and when we are comfortable we will look at bookings of an hour and a half. This is to help reduce the number of people congregating around the revolving door at any one time.
To begin with court numbers 2, 4, 6 & 8 will book on the hour and courts 1,3,5 & 7 will book on the half hour. Please only arrive 2-3 minutes before you are due to go on court. This means we have a limited number of people entering and exiting at any given time. You will see signs by the revolving doors showing who has right of way when entering and exiting the domes. As you enter the domes, please do not touch the glass, either use the handle or walk in using your back to push the door. Please let people out before entering - if you see someone on the other side waiting to come out please stand aside and let them. Once you have finished your session and are ready to leave, please come back into the reception area (with your face mask on) and follow the one-way system to exit.
Please make sure that you have pre-booked any courts before coming, walk on sessions are not available at the moment. Please come to the centre ready to play as changing rooms and showers are closed but the toilets are open. Only one person will be allowed in the toilet area at one time unless from the same household, i.e. parent and child. There will be spray sanitizer by the toilets and we would ask you to spray and wipe all the handles down once you have finished.
If your child is having a lesson and you wish to watch we would ask that only one parent/guardian comes and that they wear a mask at all times. It would however, be preferable that they wait in their car while the lesson takes place. For the time being we would ask that there are no other spectators.
We will be selling hot and cold drinks as well as some snacks. These can be consumed at our outside seating areas or are for take away.
Please DO NOT come to the centre if you or any other member of your household is self isolating, pending recent testing results or showing symptoms of Coronavirus. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back but cannot stress how important these measures are for the safety of everyone. Anyone found not respecting these measures will be politely asked to leave.
