Pre-league social

A chance for our league players to build up some team spirit before the start of the summer league, and the 'formal' introduction of the clubhouses' new dartboard. A good afternoon/evening with Bristol-brewed beers (Good Chemistry + Wiper & True), mini table tennis and late night snappa - bring on summer tennis!

Congrats to Simon Margetts

A great accomplishment for our very own Bristol tennis legend, who has won the Avon Tennis Unsung Hero award for his contributions to Cotham Park for over 25 years. Simon has given his time to CPTC as groundskeeper, team captain, website manager, committee member, and currently match secretary (and seniors captain). Simon received his award at the Avon Tennis big night out, supported by some of our members - well done and well deserved!

70s-themed mixed tournament

At the beginning of the month we held a 70s-style 'Chris and Jimmy' mixed doubles tennis tournament. We had an incredible turnout of 22 players all keen to serve up some 70s vibes!

The tournament started with a round robin group stage with winners of each group Movin' On Up to the semi-final. The nail-biting final was then played out by Will and Alison v Katy and Roddy. After a quick headstart for Will and Alison, Katy and Roddy weren't going to Let it Be and brought it back three games each before winning the match in a deciding tiebreak.

Congrats to our 70s mixed doubles champs!
