Autumn 2021

It's been a busy autumn term involving our junior and adult Tennis programmes. We organised four new LTA Youth Start courses geared to 5-11year olds and we saw 30 sign ups with a staggering 23 of these being girls. Very much has been the incredible influence of Emma Raducanu and her amazing story and success in New York back in late August that has inspired lots of girls of all ages to try Tennis.
These courses are finishing this week and we hope all those that have been involved will continue their Tennis journeys with us.

Some of juniors have been further afield to compete and those that have been involved in this are Jack Bradshaw, Oscar Hart, Edward Pooley and Millie Hart. Our term time sessions will conclude on Saturday 11th December and then reconvene in January. Over the Christmas period we have some fun coaching sessions planned as well as a Christmas Jumper Cracker where children can team up with their parents to play some fun doubles.

The adult section has seen more club afternoons being held over the weekly timetable. This was agreed by our committee to allow more people the chance to play as the regular sessions have become oversubscribed in recent weeks. Our City League teams competed well over the summer months with both our Mens and Ladies A teams finishing as runners up in the top divisions.
