History and Anniversary

This year, we our proud to be celebrating our 101th year as a Tennis Club.    We began on the 6th May 1920 with two grass courts behind the old vicarage in what was called the Vicarage Fields and costing the council £30.   In 2014 the club became one of a very few member-owned clubs to take a lease from the council and now have three fabulous hard courts, some of the best in Sussex following the resurfacing in 2017.  Here is a brief history of Cuckfield Tennis Club in a short set of images.

We are grateful to have received an anniversary letter from His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent, President of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, congratulating us on reaching our centenary.

Finally, have you noticed we have a new logo produced for us by Louis Mackay.   We are sincerely grateful to him for his hard work.   We will be using it on all our artwork going forward.

Please do pass on our plans to any interested past members, particularly those who may not have an email address.
