Club Rules
Each member agrees to be bound by the Articles of Association of the club and our Policies. There is an Annual General Meeting each year, usually in June, which every member is encouraged to attend and vote.
The club is a traditional members’ club. We rely on our members to do what is necessary to maintain the club. There is a small committee appointed by the members who run the club on a day to day basis.
In the rare event of a dispute, the decision of the committee is final.
Please respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum, particularly during the evening.
All members must ensure that the club is properly locked and secure when leaving.
Playing Rules
Tennis is permitted between 09:00 and 21:00 every day. No play is permitted outside these hours.
The tennis courts, nets and equipment must be treated with respect.
All players must wear non-marking rubber soled shoes on the courts.
No food, glass or alcoholic beverages are permitted on the courts.
No bicycles, roller blades, skate boards, footballs or similar are permitted on the courts.
Members are strongly advised to book a court prior to playing and are requested to cancel bookings which are no longer required.
The ball machine is available for use by any adult member who has received the appropriate training. The machine must be booked in advance and there are detailed usage instructions with the machine.
Guests
Members may introduce a guest to the club.
Playing guests shall pay the current guest fee which is published on the website.
A guest may play on no more than six occasions in any membership year.
