Annual Review of fees & charges

Rother District Council annually reviews fees & charges. This includes cost of hiring pitches & tennis courts alongside other council services from car parking charges to licence fees. This will be discussed and agreed by Council in November and normally comes into effect from April the following year.

Safety

Alongside charges for using facilities there is a need to ensure safety (and safeguarding) is in place to help preventing incidents or accidents. This will also be in line with that expected by the Lawn Tennis Association who visit registered sites including Egerton Park. Rother District Council works closely with the LTA to implement good practice and take advantage of opportunities to develop tennis.

For 2022 this is more focused on formal coaching and coaches using the courts alongside any changes to charges that are agreed.

However, the council welcome comments for any users on safety and preventing incidents or accidents. New signs and procedures were introduced during 2021 including development of this website to help improve safety and use of the courts.
