Background
We pride ourselves on being both a friendly community club in the heart of an urban area, but also a club committed to improving its facilities and growing its tennis membership.
The club has an active social and competitive tennis programme for adults.
We have open sessions where people turn up and join in on Friday evening (6pm+), Saturday and Sunday afternoons. (1 to 4pm). We have a Box-League – where you can find other people to play.
We run 2 women's and 3 men’s teams in the summer.
In the Winter we have 2 women's, 4 men’s and a mixed vets team in the floodlit winter league.
These are all doubles matches are we are in the Middlesex NE League.
You would be very welcome to join the pool of people willing and able to play for a team.
We always want to increase the number of players and teams.
We have some excellent coaches and either individually, or as groups, you would have the opportunity to improve your game.
As a member of the club you would be eligible to enter the draw for Wimbledon tickets, but you must be a British Tennis Member as the LTA only allocate the club Wimbledon tickets based on the number of "Opted-In", BTMs in the club by mid-February each year.
As a member of the club (but only in the 2nd and subsequent years) you would be eligible to hire the club for private adult functions.
You would be able to hire the club in the 1st year for children's functions.
The club house and bar is open every Friday evening from 19:30.
Why not combine a game with bringing the family along to enjoy a social evening?
The freedom of children in the protective enclosure of the club together with a friendly atmosphere and attractive bar prices make for a very alluring combination.
The club is owned and managed by all the adult members.
The management committee is elected democratically at the AGM.
The club is run solely by volunteers and everyone is encouraged to get involved in some small way. If you walk past that piece of rubbish and don’t put it in a bin, no one else is employed or responsible for doing it either.
We work well as a community involved in working to a common goal.
Check out the club constitution and the rules of the club .
We also have a strong community commitment and involvement.
The club house is used by a number social events through the year.
Any member of the community is welcome to join the club or to just join in the social events on a Friday evening.
