Freshford and District Tennis Club

A friendly and social tennis club for all ages near Bath, serving residents of Freshford, Westwood, Limpley Stoke, Winsley, Avoncliff, Hinton Charterhouse, Combe Down, Southstoke, Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge, Bath and surrounding areas.  

The club has a dedicated Professional LTA Coach who can provide private lessons from £40p/h as well as group lessons from £10p/h. Note that no other coaches may use the courts for coaching.

The club has six teams in the Chippenham and District league - two mixed doubles on Monday evenings, two womens doubles on Wednesday evenings and two mens doubles on Thursday evenings - Please contact us to enquire about getting involved with teams and practice sessions.

We are open to new members for social, intermediate and experienced tennis. 

If you are interested in trying out the courts before taking out membership or you simply want to enjoy an occasional game without commitment, then the courts can be booked on a ‘pay and play’ basis at a cost of £7/hr.  To make a court booking on our website,  please click here and choose the court slot you would like.  We regret that refunds for pay-and-play bookings cannot be made.

Both courts are equipped with floodlights.  Tokens for the floodlights can be obtained from the Galleries Shop in Freshford.  Cash only payments for the tokens!
