Goring Tennis Club acknowledges the duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk. The club is committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice and LTA requirements.
The club’s safeguarding policy recognises that the welfare and interests of children and adults at risk are paramount in all circumstances. It aims to ensure that everyone has a positive and enjoyable experience of tennis at Goring Tennis Club in a safe and inclusive environment.

Safeguarding at Events
Children and Adults at Risk have a right to enjoy tennis and events, activities and competitions which should be planned and provided with an emphasis on the importance of child safety and well-being. Organisers have a responsibility to take all reasonable steps to ensure that the tennis environment is as safe as possible.
The following policy, adopted from the LTA, details the requirements and expectations of the club in relation to providing tennis activities, camps, and competitions at Goring Tennis Club.
Safeguarding at events activities and competitions
All children participating in such events should have an understanding of the Code of Conduct for Children; we therefore kindly request that parents and guardians of children read and discuss this with their children before participating.
