Tokens for operating the floodlights are available for purchase via the Sports Hall Bar or via the Hingham coaches. A token will last for 20 minutes, and you will be able to load the token meter with more than one if you want a longer period of play. Please ensure you have purchased sufficient flood light tokens in advance.

1. Each token costs £2.00 to light both courts (they do not operate independently).

2. The token meter for the floodlights is situated on the inside fence of the courts.

3. Floodlights are timed by a ‘master timer’ to switch off automatically at 10pm each day to comply with planning permission regulations.

4. Once the floodlights go out, its is very important you do not re-light them for 10minutes (to allow the bulbs to cool down fully to allow them to ‘re-strike’ safely and avoid costly damage). The token meter has a countdown display, but we encourage you to keep an eye on the time and keep the meter fed to avoid any disruption to play.

5. Please turn up 5 minutes early for your court bookings when you will need the floodlights to avoid the lights going out if the courts have been in use before your session.
