Saturday 15th October 2016 saw the second Whirlwind Mini Tour event of the season at Ilfracombe Tennis Club & the first GREEN event in North Devon with a Nimble Nine mini green players in action & all but four home grown...

Several players were competing in a Whirlwind tournament for the very first time & all players competed their hearts out whilst showing great respect for each other throughout the event.

Points were earned for matches played & matches won & the players totals put them onto a mini tour leaderboard for Devon players, similar to the ATP & WTA World Tour Finals with the top 8 qualifying for the finals event. This year it looks like Team GB could have two players at the finals, Andy Murray in the men's event & Johanna Konta in the women's event.

It would be great to see Ilfracombe players at the Whirlwind Mini Tour finals at the end of the season!
