Every month (or as required) we will provide an update on some of the issues arising from the booking & usage of the courts & clarification on the specific activities that are allowed...

BOOKING COURTS  - the easy way!

BOOKER is the app that you can use from your mobile devices & tablets to book our Bicclescombe Park tennis courts that are now open. You must register to our club website & book your courts before attending the site. The registration & booking process takes you through very important safety information relating to the COV-19 outbreak. Our website is at: https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/IlfracombeLawnTennisClub

HANDLING TENNIS BALLS

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Every tennis player, unless they are from the same household, has to bring their own "marked" tennis balls. When playing with someone not from your household you should ONLY handle your tennis balls & they should ONLY handle their tennis balls. Humorous Tennis Ball Warning

BALLS ESCAPING THE COURTS

From time to time your tennis balls, with the gates currently fixed open, will escape the courts or balls may escape over the fencing. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you retrieve these balls immediately as it will discourage other park users, less familiar with the recommendations around ball touching, from handling your tennis balls. Alternatively, there may be someone with a tennis racket nearby that can scoop the ball up & hit it back to you. Another option is for a passing park user to kick the ball nearer to the fencing for ease of retrieval & to keep others from having the temptation to handle the ball before you are able to retrieve it

BOOKING COURTS - YOUR BOOKINGS

When BOOKING COURTS - all your bookings are available to see in one place. There is no need to scroll through the booking pages, just visit https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/IlfracombeLawnTennisClub/Booking/Bookings & you will see all your bookings togther.

PUBLIC TOILETS REOPENING & NOW CLOSING AGAIN (27MAY)

The public toilets at Bicclescombe Park reopened on Monday 25th May, following the reopening of the tennis courts on Friday 15th May.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: However we became aware on Wednesday 27th May that they appeared to be closed again & enquiries on Thursday 28th May revealed that they had been closed again due to the time taken to clean impacting the ability to be able to maintain other public toilets in high priority areas.  It is anticipated that the toilets will not now reopen until after 15th June 2020.

Please note that Bicclescombe Mill (for refreshments) remains closed, as does the children's play areas. We have noticed that the toilets are sometimes locked in the evening, so we will ascertain whether this is spcific to a problem arising or a daily procedure.
