RED STAGE
LTA Youth Red - 4/5-8 Year Olds
What is LTA Youth Red?
This stage resembles the tennis you're familiar with – think overarm serves, rallies and scoring. Kids can apply their newfound knowledge in friendly competitions, whether as part of a team or individually. While it still involves soft balls and smaller courts, they're absorbing all the essential elements they'll carry into the more advanced levels of the game.
- Maximum Ratio of 1:6 (might be increased if a tennis leader is assisting)
- Softer balls and modified court size
- ABCs development (Agility, Balance and Co-ordination)
- Focusing on a consistant serve, rallying, and scoring
