Open Days

2026

We had another great turn out for our Annual Open Day on Sunday 17 May 2026.

Despite a pessimistic weather forecast we were blessed with sunshine throughout the day. The courts were full with tennis and pickleball activities alongside free coaching for for juniors and adults, keeping all ages busy. A number of new members signed up on the day with more to come we hope.

Special thanks to Debra for leading the efforts; Charlie for the coaching; Mick and Carol for pickleball; and additional support from past and present members of the committee.

2025

We had a fantastic turnout for our annual Open Day on Sunday 18 May 2025.

We welcomed around 100 adults and children to this year's event. We have adult and children's coaching with Gareth as well as adult play mixing in with club members.

Our offer of pickleball was a huge success with booked sessions introducing this new sport to a wide audience and to show off the sport at Magdala.

Refreshments were provided by club members and there was a lovely buzz around the club for the whole day!

2024

Open Day - Sunday 19 May 2024 10am to 4pm

Thank you to everyone who came to our Open Day – we had a super day, the weather was gorgeous and we had all five courts in use from 10am to 4pm.

We had around 100 visitors to the club and there was an amazing atmosphere. It was lovely to see so many juniors on court and many parents getting involved too (maybe thinking they would watch but then they couldn’t resist!). The adult coaching, cardio tennis (342 calories burned) and pickleball proved popular too!

So many positive comments and smiley faces - it was a really great day.
