Club Tournament

The 2022 Club Championships is already underway. Entries go live on 1 Feb.

All events will be run this year:

Adult Events x 26

Open Singles and Doubles and Mixed - Total 5 events

Open Seniors Singles and Doubles and Mixed for age categories 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+ - Total 15 events

Handicap Singles and Doubles and Mixed - Total 5 events

and the Parent & Child event

Junior Events x 21

Singles and Doubles for age categories 8U, 9U 10U, 12U, 14U & 18U

Players are able to enter as many as they wish, however we ask you to be mindful of how many finals you may reach. A player may be in no more than 5 finals and if they are they can expect minimal rest in between!

This will involve printing signing scannning and emailing a paper entry form which you will by email to addresses above and payment is to be made separately with your full name as a reference for easy identification. Bank details will be sent separately. 

Finals Day will be Sunday 11th September 2022 – please only enter if you’re available to play on Finals Day.

Additional Tournament Terms and Conditions

  1. Ladies and Men’s Singles Open events are for players of ALL standards. There will be a "progressive" draw format meaning that in the early rounds players are guaranteed to play those of a similar standard. Progressing to a higher tableau to play against more highly-ranked players
  2. The Mixed Doubles Handicap event can be entered with a partner, or if preferred, you can request a randomly drawn partner.
  3. The Maidenhead LTC Club Championships 2022 is approved by the LTA and shall be conducted in accordance with the ITF Rules of Tennis, the Rules of the LTA, the LTA Competition Regulations, including the LTA Code of Conduct (each may be amended from time to time) and those published by the organising committee.
  4. The tournament is open to all players who are members of Maidenhead LTC as at the closing date for entries and throughout the tournament.
  5. Entry fees: £4.00 per singles event, £3.00 per person per doubles event. For doubles entries, both players must enter and pay £3.00 separately.
  6. Please respect the number of events you enter, to ensure that all matches are completed on time. It is the responsibility of ALL players to arrange their matches. A player may not be in any more than 5 finals across both Junior and Adult Club Championships. Should a player be in 5 finals they should expect minimal rest times in between matches. If a player is unavailable to play on or is in too many finals they should concede at match point in the semi-final.
  7. Players must be available to play in any finals on finals day (Sunday 11th September 2022). Please do not enter the tournament if you are not around for Finals Day.
  8. The draw sheets will be available on the noticeboard in the clubhouse by 1st  May 2022. Full competition rules, and handicap instructions will also be posted on the notice board. The primary point of communications relating to the Adult Tournament will be [email protected].
  9. Up to date email and phone contact details must be made available by all who enter to MLTC and the LTA (details of a parent or guardian will be used for invited juniors). In the event up to date details are not available the entry or pair will be scratched. In case of difficulty finding contact details for juniors do contact Nasreen Brittain [email protected] 07719 456830.
  10. Where matches are not played by the due date a coin will be tossed to decide which entry or pair is given a walk over. Consideration may be given where match dates have been agreed and written on the notice board and/or sent to [email protected].
  11. We may take digital images to be used for future marketing and/or publicity purposes by Maidenhead LTC. To opt out email [email protected].
  12. The tournament committee decision on all matters will be final.
