Safeguarding
At Meopham LTC we want everyone to enjoy their tennis in a safe and friendly environment. Part of this is to ensure we have strong safeguarding procedures in place for children and vulnerable adults. The Club has two welfare officers in place: Julie Dean (0788 932 8784) and Pete Bishenden (0773 322 3538) both of whom meet the LTA Safeguarding standards. Julie and Pete can also be emailed on safeguarding@meophamtennis.com . Furthermore, all Tennis Together coaches as part of their accreditation undertake safeguarding courses and are DBS checked. Whilst the training and controls are in place for volunteers and coaching staff, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Whether you are a member, parent, carer or visitor we would look for you to take an active approach to safeguarding. Any concerns can and should be raised with the Club’s welfare officers at any time. Your support in this regard will be very much appreciated.
We have a number of policies to minimise risk, deliver a positive tennis experience for everyone and respond appropriately to all safeguarding concerns/disclosures. Please click on a link below to direct you to the relavent policy.
