About me - LTA Level 3 Accredited Plus TennisCoach

My name is Tawona Moyo (…you can call me Tee)and am married to Sharon having met at Bolton University in the late 80s . We have two daughters, Alicia, and Georgia. We live in Leeds.. Sport has always played a huge part in my life, heavily committed to playing school, club and international school football from since I could walk literally. My claim to fame is that I played against Bruce Grobbelaar once- before he became famous! However, a leg injury put paid to that career, and I immediately ventured into tennis administering, playing, and coaching.

I have now been involved in tennis for over 40 years and have experience in the full life cycle of providing voluntary service to the game at local clubs, schools, district, provincial and National tennis associations in a range of roles. Through TeeM Tennis Coaching, I am very passionate and a great believer in player-centred coaching with a great bias towards personal development. My coaching approach is to create an optimum fun-filled environment where players of all ages and ability can learn and thrive to play better tennis with the talent they have got. I just love outdoor tennis!!

I make no apology in creating and maintaining a highly sensitive and robust safeguarding infrastructure that excels in promoting safe and secure participation in tennis for all at the venues I run a junior development programme. I am also an LTA registered DBS ID documents verifier.

I am very excited to join the Mirfield Tennis Committee and looking forward to spearheading a first in class development programme for a sport I love. I am really thrilled and cannot wait to make the programme a lasting asset for the Community of Mirfield as well as the Lawn Tennis Association.
