During the winter months at MTC the courts can be unplayable due to rain and slippiness at times. We advise everyone prior to playing to check the court surface for:

• Water logged areas
• Build up of moss
• Emerging stones 
• Slippiness and depth of inprint when stepping  on court surface

Playing on the court when any of the above are present can damage the court surface and has the potential risk for injury if played on.  If the surface deteriorates whilst playing on the court with deep inprints emerging the club advises to stop play. The winter measures above can help to maintain the courts throughout the year and reduce the financial cost due to damage along with reducing risk of injury.
