Mundy Playing Fields

Situated in the beautiful Mundy Playing Fields in Thornbury, we have two newly-refurbished tennis courts available for hire to the general public.  Enjoy the beautiful surroundings as you play a set or two! 

Both courts have tarmac surfaces, and have recently been deep-cleaned, re-painted and re-lined.  

The public courts are located just past Thornbury Tennis Club - just continue along the path, past the Club and the courts are on your right.  The are conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the Mundy Playing Fields car park.  There are toilets close by, next to the main Pavilion building.  Just a short 10 minute walk from the Mundy Playing Fields towards the High Street, there are many cafes and shops selling refreshments.       

Courts can be booked in advance for one hour sessions.  We offer lower rates for those on reduced incomes (see the Concessions section for more details).  The normal booking fee is £5 per hour and £3 per hour for those on reduced incomes.        

The public courts are proudly managed and maintained by Thornbury Town Council.  The recent refurbishment and set up of the booking system was in part made possible by a s106 award from South Gloucestershire Council.
