Terms of Use

By making a booking, you are agreeing to abide by the Terms of Use for the courts.  If Thornbury Town Council (TTC) considers you to be in breach of these Terms of Use, it has the right to cancel any bookings without refund and refuse future bookings.

Please note - assistance with bookings and with accessing the courts is only available during normal office hours (Monday-Thursday 9.00am-5.00pm, Friday 9.00am-4.00pm).  Any problems experienced outside of those hours can only be dealt with when the office re-opens.  Any appropriate refunds will be made at that point.  By making a booking, you are acknowledging that you accept the hours during which assistance is available.

General Court Rules

  • Players should treat other players, and all other users of the Mundy Playing Fields, with respect and courtesy at all times.  This applies particularly when courts are in use immediately prior to a booking and when the adjacent court is in use at the same time as a your booking.
  • Courts must be booked in advance online.
  • Access to courts is only via a PIN code which will be provided to you when making a booking.
  • Players should ensure the entrance gate is closed at all times, other than when entering and leaving the courts.  “Tailgating” should be avoided to help ensure the safety of all players and the good condition of the courts.
  • Access PIN codes will only work 10-15 minutes prior to the booking time and during the duration of the booking.
  • If your court is being used immediately prior to your booking, you should wait outside of the courts until the allotted time.  If you are playing and can see that someone is waiting to use your court for the session following yours, please leave the court promptly at the end of your session.
  • Players use the courts at their own risk.  They should wear appropriate clothing and footwear when on court.  They should take notice of weather conditions and only play when conditions are safe.
  • TTC has the right to cancel bookings at their discretion.
  • Dogs are strictly prohibited from the courts.
  • The playing of music while using the courts is strictly prohibited, unless during an organised event or where permission has been given by TTC.
  • Smoking and chewing gum are strictly prohibited on court.
  • Litter should be placed in the bin provided by the court entrance.  TTC cannot be held responsible for any belongings that are left on court by players.
