What can you expect?
At the Red stage, children practice to serve (with an overarm throw) rally, and learn to play points. Coaches will help children to develop adaptive skills, coordination, balance & speed. Through basic instruction, children continue to prepare for the game ahead.

Mini Tennis LTA Youth. Children aged between 3-10 years can get stuck into the world of tennis with this exciting programme from the LTA. Featuring shorter courts, nets, rackets and a soft, low bouncing balls, Mini Tennis provides the perfect introduction to tennis for young children. There are 4 stages of Mini Tennis, Blue, Red, Orange and Green, each with their own court size and ball type. This tailored approach enables players to develop vital skills and techniques at an early age. Mini Tennis Red is a programme for players aged 6-8 years. Players learn to serve, rally and score with a slow ball as well as learning the movement and coordination skills required for tennis. Players are encouraged to take part in fun competitions both in teams and as individuals, with short matches using tie-break scoring.
