What's On
As well as weekly social tennis for members, at MTC we also have a wide range of events and competitions happening throughout the year, with summer months being busiest, though our all weather courts and floodlights mean we can benefit from playing tennis all year round. Activities include open days, Great British Tennis Weekends, annual Club championship competitions and social events.
Mixed Singles Box Leagues are held over the winter months. The 2023-24 winter box will soon be underway and are pen to all members of yellow ball standard. You will ideally be placed into a group of similar ability once entries are closed. It's friendly, competitive fun. The rules and scoring are as follows:
- 2 sets of first to 4 games. If the score is 3 all in a set, then a normal tie break will be played (first to 7 or 2 clear points if 6-6 reached).
- All games are normal deuces.
- If the score is one set all, then a deciding championship tie break will be played (first to 10 or 2 clear points if 9-9 reached).
- You are responsible for arranging your own matches.
