Northallerton Tennis Club is a Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) registered club, in Romanby, Northallerton. We have four hard courts, a Pavilion with a toilet and disabled access.  We are situated in the grounds of, and are part of  Northallerton Town Cricket Club where we can also enjoy the facilities available.

During the summer months we hold 2 Adult club nights a week, on Monday and Thursday evenings starting at 6pm and several internal fun tournaments are organized throughout the season; please feel free to come and join in the fun!  In the winter months we hold Club sessions on a Sunday morning from 10.30 a.m.

Youth Club Nights (for members aged 13-17) will be held on Monday evenings from 4.30 to 6.00 p.m.

For many years we have entered at least two teams in the Harrogate and District Mixed doubles league, a Ladies doubles team in the Darlington and District league and the Dales league, a Veterans Doubles team and a team in the Thirsk Mixed doubles winter league (for those who can brave the snow!)  Unfortunately due to the impact of Covid we have withdrawn all our teams from both the Harrogate and District Mixed and the Dales Ladies’ leagues for the 2021 season.

Where restrictions allow we hope to arrange friendly matches with local clubs to give members the opportunity for some external competitive play in this interim season.

The courts re-opened on 29th March.  Singles and doubles play is permitted and the Rule of 6 no longer applies.  Members are asked to adhere to the guidelines on social distancing and hand hygiene.  The Test and Trace process will be applied in line with LTA and Government guidance.

We are re-starting our Pay and Play sessions for non-members on Friday Evenings.  The courts will be available from 6.30 – 8.00 p.m. every Friday between June 4th and July 30th.  The charge will be £5 per player for 45 minutes.  Primary school age children will be welcome to play only if accompanied by a paying adult, but for no charge.  Balls and racquets will be supplied if needed.  Access to the courts will be on a first come, first served basis.  No need to book, just turn up.

Northallerton Tennis Club meets the LTA recommendations regarding safeguarding and strives to ensure that all children, young people and adults at risk are safeguarded from abuse and have an enjoyable tennis experience.
