By joining the club, all members have agreed to be bound by our own and the LTA codes of conduct. CAN LINKS BE INSERTED TO THESE DOCUMENTS?
The code and values of Okehampton tennis club and LTA require all members to:
· Show respect and courtesy to others at all times,
· To behave in a sporting, honest and fair manner,
· To address any disputes with dignity and appropriate language.
Aware that line calls can sometimes be a problem, we remind everyone to:
· only call lines on their side of the court;
· if not absolutly certain that the ball is out then call it in,
· and if there is any doubt, offer to replay the point.
The full, enforceable LTA code of conduct can be read here. Section 1 applies to anyone involved with tennis, and 2 is specific to players. Not being aware is not an acceptable reason for not complying. The rules of tennis can be read here.
Maintaining a fun and orderly club requires everyone to play their part applauding good sportsmanship, and reporting breaches.
